The Johnson Family

I am so glad I got to meet the Johnson family! The mom had gotten one of her friend's Christmas cards last year that I designed and after that she said she knew that they'd be doing a family photo sooner or later and when they did... they'd HAVE to come to ME!
Gotta love those Christmas Cards!!! Speaking of which, now is the time to be ordering... so if you're interested in buying them we can use any photos from this year's session. I have some amazing designs and they are all beautifully printed with a real 4 color press, double-sided on heavy cardstock. (no cheesy Walmart print-type cards here!)
Back to the Johnsons... they were all about having a fun time and having photos that showed it! We did some neat shots with their barefeet, and giving piggy-back rides and doing a good old monkey-pile!
They are also avid golfers so we incorporated their golf clubs into some of the shots as well. Their colorful pink and orange outfits went perfect with a simple white background so they really POP. Plus they look gorgeous in black and white too!!
Enjoy!

Marli & Kamryn

Good thing I got my espresso/latte machine when I did. :) When photographing kids, you need all the zip you can get!
These two little darling girls were no exception, and I LOVED every minute of it! I think their poor mom thought they were torturing me... but I guess that's why I'm in this business.
As hard as it can be to get young children to focus on what they're supposed to be doing, look at the camera and give you that perfect expression... it's all worth it when the mom sees the images and says "Oh my gosh, I love them all!" or "I know you told me we had some really good ones, but I wasn't so sure about it with the way my children were acting... but you were right, they are amazing!"
So all's well that ends well. At least that's my motto today. And really, I don't mind if your kids come and make me work hard for my money. That's a few less calories I need to burn on the treadmill right!? :)
Enjoy!

P.S. Marli and Kamryn are great kids. I couldn't believe how good 3-year-old Kamryn was at listening to directions.

Kari & Eric

This is another cute couple I have the privilege of doing wedding photography for next year. Kari and Eric came into the studio for their engagement session and we were soon having a great time laughing and joking around.
I can't wait to shoot wedding photos for them as they warned me there wouldn't be any trouble getting the bridal party to do those crazy photos like everyone jumping or making silly faces that are so fun.
I love people who don't take themselves too seriously! :) Life is way too short to worry about what everyone else is thinking.
Enjoy!

Brianne

Well, I'm a bit behind in blogging about Brianne, but it's better late than never right!? :) I have been preoccupied lately with trying to fit all the holiday sessions in before the first part of December because if you have your session after that, there's no way you'll be getting your prints back by Christmas time. Holiday cards need to get ordered asap too! Those take a week or so to design and then another week to print and so you'll be wanting to do that now in order to get them in the mail on time.
If you've been thinking about using your family picture for a holiday card, shoot me an email or facebook message... or just call! Thanks!
Now back to Brianne... well, lets just say that her mom and grandma were so thrilled with their images they said it was bad of me to make it so hard for them to choose! :) Guess that's a good problem to have.
Brianne is very much a free spirit and seems very comfortable in her skin if you know what I mean. I love girls like that! She's going to go far!!
Enjoy!

Lindsey and Andy

After doing the wedding show last weekend, I thought it would be appropriate if I shared these beautiful images I have from an engagement session I did a couple weeks ago. Sorry for the delay in sharing these! I didn't mean to wait so long... but it's the busy season you know! :)
This couple is so sweet and they remind me of my husband and I... they hunt together... he does carpentry type work... and his name is Andy too! :) Funny. Anyhow, I really look forward to shooting their outdoor wedding at Wedgewood Cove next summer.... ahhh, summer... it seems so far away....
Enjoy!

Ashlyn

I know you probably recognize this beautiful young lady from earlier in the summer... that's because she did two senior sessions. :) I love it when people just can't get enough pictures!!
Ashlyn wanted some summer and some fall photos to pick from so we did a second session and timed it so we could have the pretty fall colors. I think we got it just right. The day was perfect... and I think the pictures turned out pretty perfect too!
Enjoy!

Sarah

This beautiful senior is the younger sister of a boy I took portraits for a couple years ago and I was delighted to have Sarah come in to have her portraits taken just in time for the leaves to change color.
Sarah's been so excited about having me take her pictures... her and Laura (previously featured) were asking me about booking when I saw them at a graduation party in May!
Her patience paid off because we ended up having a beautiful fall day to take the outdoor portraits.
I was just blow away by how Sarah's really matured over the last couple years and is just so pretty! Lucky me! :)
Sorry there are so many! I just couldn't choose.
Enjoy!

Gene

It's been a while since I posted pictures back in June from Gene's outdoor session and I finally got him back into the studio for the rest of his senior portraits... this kid, who just so happens to be one of my cousins, is involved in just about everything so it's not easy to find a time that works for both of us.
Must have that Lynne over-acheiver gene... LOL! Gene, get it? :P Okay, so maybe that wasn't funny. ;)
So I have him in the studio... and he's got his sax and a sweet suit. I think they went together quite nicely! Then we had some fun doing a few outdoors as well, since it was a beautiful fall day.
Enjoy!
