Jenna

OMG! Jenna is a total hottie!!! :) Her parents should keep her locked up until she's 18. LOL!
Just kidding Jenna, except for the hottie part. ;)
Jenna came to my studio because she just turned Sweet Sixteen and she needed to get all glammed up and take some fabulous pics to commemorate the event.
All I gotta say is this girl looks more like a senior than a sophmore or a freshman or whatever grade you're in Jenna. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding a date for the prom. Or any Friday night for that matter.
I had so much fun with you and your mom that day, even though we all had to freeze our tushies off to take the outdoor pictures. Especially you in your mini skirt!
Well, hope you like - no, I hope you LOVE!
Enjoy!

A few cuties

Well, it's been a while again since I've posted. It's been so much fun lately, doing all sorts of kids, babies and families... trying to fit everyone in before Christmas.
My house has been suffering in the housekeeping department... now that I don't have to clean every time I have an appointment, it tends to get ignored! Oh well. Guess there's that saying "A clean home is a sign of a misspent life." :)
If any of my customers reading this are really good at organization... I wouldn't mind trading services. I could really use the help. I'm serious! Either that, or I need that show Mission Organization to come to my house. LOL!
Well, gotta go.
Enjoy these latest cute kids I've photographed.

Join me at Ben's Floral Thurday evening

Hi there! Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. It was a rough one here at the Houg household. Each of us fell victim to the nasty stomach bug that's making it's rounds. Thankfully, we're all better now.
I wanted to share with all of you that I will be offering free quick (one pose) sessions at Ben's Floral in Albert Lea on Thursday, Dec. 4th from 5-7 pm.
I'll be set up in the Lakeside Cafe area by the fireplace and there will be a Christmas tree with all the trimmings to pose by. Bring your loved one(s) and come take a lovely holiday portrait. Ordering will be that same night, either right after your picture or from 7-8 depending on if there's a line of people waiting or not.
Come and join me! And then hang out in the Lakeside cafe enjoying some yummy chilly or Wisconsin Cheese soup. MMMmmmm!!

Fun Families in South Dakota Part 2

I know I promised to share pictures of those other families from South Dakota that I took family pictures of, so here they are! :)
Sorry I don't have more time to write today.
Becca

'Tis the season!

Hey there! Sorry I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted anything on my blog. It's my busy season... trying to fit everything in before the holidays... I've got Christmas cards to design... wedding albums to finish... new sessions to shoot and proof... But it's all good! I love my job!!
Speaking of weddings, I had my older brother's wedding on Nov. 8th and it was a bitterly cold day! Cold and windy... but the wedding inside St. Theodores was absolutely gorgeous! Mariah looked stunning in her dress with red accent panels and the bridesmaid dresses were perfectly modern yet classic. I loved being able to capture all their wedding day memories so that they can look back on this day years from now and remember EXACTLY how they felt... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! :)
I love you guys! Hope you love your images!

Fun Families in South Dakota

I have a family I photographed a lot that moved out to an area near Sioux Falls, SD a couple years ago and they wanted me to come out and do family and children's portraits for them. Happily, I agreed and they were gracious enough to ask their neighbors if they would also like family pictures taken as well.
Luckily it worked out on that same weekend for their neighbors across the street so I got to meet this awesome family who had me photograph their adorable little girl, Allison.
This year, they had a new addition to their family, Anna, and she's such a good little baby. They wrote me to see if I'd be willing to come out again to capture some new memories for their wall, which I was more than happy to do and they also had me take pictures for another family member, her sister-in-law. So I got to take pictures of her two cute little boys that same day!
Turns out, I got to take pictures of the original family I used to photograph and another new neighbor as well! So I took pictures of four families that day! I'll be posting pics for the other two families soon. Thanks so much for being such great customers! I didn't mind the drive when I get the privilege of working for such wonderful people!

Nick

I had a blast taking pictures of Nick. I met his mom a couple years ago at an expo and she won my drawing for a free session... we ended up doing a family portrait so I got to meet all the kids... and now he's a SENIOR! Craziness! I love this family, they are all so friendly and laid-back so I knew we'd have fun.
Believe it or not, these were only taken a week or so ago and it was not one of the warmer days... it was COLD out that day!

Here's the reason I mentioned it was cold out... :) What a good sport!
