Bridal Expo - Mason City

Hey there! I've been busy thinking about how I'm going to be in Mason City this weekend for the Bridal Show. It's at the Mason City Country Club from 12-4 on Sunday, Jan 18th. I got signed up at the last minute, so I didn't have time to get a bunch of new samples ordered... but I'm going to direct future brides to my new website and encourage them to visit the studio for a consultation.
If you're looking for a wedding photographer or know someone who might be, send them my way - either to the show on Sunday or have them visit my site.
Speaking of weddings... I just finished the design for my brother and his wife's album. I'm really excited to hear what they have to say about it!
Check it out!

So Excited!

I'm sooo excited... and I just can't hide it... Okay, okay, so I can't carry a tune, but I sure am excited to let you all know that my new weddings website is almost up! I've finished all the edits and it should go "live" within a day or two!!!
I spent a bunch of time today working on the home page slideshow which - I hope you agree - is AMAZING! Even if I do say so myself. *wink*
Sorry, I'm not usually one to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty pumped. I know on of my favorite brides... (Katie S) is going to love it. It showcases my favorite pictures from her wedding in the home page slideshow.
It was so hard to pick which pictures to put in the galleries. I have so many awesome images to choose from. I've had such beautiful brides and grooms!
I hope you have a chance later this week to check it out. Just go to www.rebeccalynnephoto.com or www.weddingsbyrebecca.com. (They'll bring you to the same place).
Check you later!

All the Grandkids...

Well, this is a great example of taking advantage of the holidays... a time when the whole family gets together. These are actually relatives of mine - my husband's uncle's kids and their kids. It got to be quite a few people for a session in their living room. Think it turned out pretty good though! What do you think?
Enjoy!

All the way from Japan!

That's right, this family came all the way from Japan to have me take their family picture! Well, okay, so they are from this area and have family here, and were home for the holidays... but still! I just want to thank Nikki for buying them that gift certificate so I got to meet them. Such great people. As you can see from the pictures, we had a blast. Cary, the mom is so upbeat and has the best sense of humor... you need that when you're a mom! We were just rolling with the punches as poor little Ruby kept spitting up all the time. Marty was wonderful too... he's so photogenic!
Enjoy!

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all my wonderful customers this year. I hope you know how much I appreciate the fact that you believe in investing in quality photography. It is nice to know that other people view what I do as artwork for their homes and the value of that print of their family/son/daughter on the wall is worth so much more than any store bought scenic print.
So thanks again, for seeing the true value in professional photography. It's people like you that allow me to use the gift God's given me to share that gift with others.
God Bless!

Deb & Mary

My friend Deb and her daughter, Mary came out to the studio for a little photo shoot. Deb is the author of a children's book, "Bedtime for Mary" which has been in print for a few years now, but she's been colorizing it and soon will be publishing the new version of the book. So I was more than happy to take a new author portrait for her.
I must say, my friend is a natural beauty and her daughter looks just like her. I only hope I look this good when Collin gets to be about 8 years old, or even a teenager - like her older son, Ross. Deb, tell that hubby of yours is one lucky guy!
Well, enjoy!

Holiday Hustle

I've been mighty busy trying to keep up with orders being placed right now, trying to get them done in time for Christmas. It's pretty much too late after tomorrow for anything to get back in time. Sorry! Should have planned ahead! :)
I'm all for giving Christmas presents late. LOL! Just tell them, "Well, I THOUGHT it would have been here by NOW!" No, wait a sec! That would make me look bad, on second thought, scratch that idea. He he.
Thinking it might be fun to share some of my favorite Christmas cards from this year.
Enjoy!
Becca
P.S. Call me up next September... book your session in October and you could have some sweet Christmas cards for your own family next year! You know you want them!
