Happy New Year!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank all my wonderful customers this year. I hope you know how much I appreciate the fact that you believe in investing in quality photography. It is nice to know that other people view what I do as artwork for their homes and the value of that print of their family/son/daughter on the wall is worth so much more than any store bought scenic print.
So thanks again, for seeing the true value in professional photography. It's people like you that allow me to use the gift God's given me to share that gift with others.
God Bless!

Deb & Mary

My friend Deb and her daughter, Mary came out to the studio for a little photo shoot. Deb is the author of a children's book, "Bedtime for Mary" which has been in print for a few years now, but she's been colorizing it and soon will be publishing the new version of the book. So I was more than happy to take a new author portrait for her.
I must say, my friend is a natural beauty and her daughter looks just like her. I only hope I look this good when Collin gets to be about 8 years old, or even a teenager - like her older son, Ross. Deb, tell that hubby of yours is one lucky guy!
Well, enjoy!

Holiday Hustle

I've been mighty busy trying to keep up with orders being placed right now, trying to get them done in time for Christmas. It's pretty much too late after tomorrow for anything to get back in time. Sorry! Should have planned ahead! :)
I'm all for giving Christmas presents late. LOL! Just tell them, "Well, I THOUGHT it would have been here by NOW!" No, wait a sec! That would make me look bad, on second thought, scratch that idea. He he.
Thinking it might be fun to share some of my favorite Christmas cards from this year.
Enjoy!
Becca
P.S. Call me up next September... book your session in October and you could have some sweet Christmas cards for your own family next year! You know you want them!

Jenna

OMG! Jenna is a total hottie!!! :) Her parents should keep her locked up until she's 18. LOL!
Just kidding Jenna, except for the hottie part. ;)
Jenna came to my studio because she just turned Sweet Sixteen and she needed to get all glammed up and take some fabulous pics to commemorate the event.
All I gotta say is this girl looks more like a senior than a sophmore or a freshman or whatever grade you're in Jenna. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding a date for the prom. Or any Friday night for that matter.
I had so much fun with you and your mom that day, even though we all had to freeze our tushies off to take the outdoor pictures. Especially you in your mini skirt!
Well, hope you like - no, I hope you LOVE!
Enjoy!

A few cuties

Well, it's been a while again since I've posted. It's been so much fun lately, doing all sorts of kids, babies and families... trying to fit everyone in before Christmas.
My house has been suffering in the housekeeping department... now that I don't have to clean every time I have an appointment, it tends to get ignored! Oh well. Guess there's that saying "A clean home is a sign of a misspent life." :)
If any of my customers reading this are really good at organization... I wouldn't mind trading services. I could really use the help. I'm serious! Either that, or I need that show Mission Organization to come to my house. LOL!
Well, gotta go.
Enjoy these latest cute kids I've photographed.

Join me at Ben's Floral Thurday evening

Hi there! Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving. It was a rough one here at the Houg household. Each of us fell victim to the nasty stomach bug that's making it's rounds. Thankfully, we're all better now.
I wanted to share with all of you that I will be offering free quick (one pose) sessions at Ben's Floral in Albert Lea on Thursday, Dec. 4th from 5-7 pm.
I'll be set up in the Lakeside Cafe area by the fireplace and there will be a Christmas tree with all the trimmings to pose by. Bring your loved one(s) and come take a lovely holiday portrait. Ordering will be that same night, either right after your picture or from 7-8 depending on if there's a line of people waiting or not.
Come and join me! And then hang out in the Lakeside cafe enjoying some yummy chilly or Wisconsin Cheese soup. MMMmmmm!!
